Our work ranges from independently produced feature documentaries to nonprofit and commercial projects. Our most recent film The Ballad of Shovels and Rope is getting some love on the festival circuit. The innovative web series, Nashville Docujournal, was a pure passion project showcasing some of our most exciting, gritty work.
Ballad of shovels and rope
Created with blood, sweat and passion, this feature rock doc was independently willed into being with the help of a grassroots, crowd funding campaign. With a tag line of "it ain't what you got, it's what you make" the production and story is a prime example of The Moving Picture Boy's ethos. Visit Site

Folks we've worked with
We LIKE WHAT WE DO & do what we like.
We've taken assignments that span business sectors and media platforms—editorial, corporate, documentary, music videos, and live events. We've introduced new products and captured unscripted moments. You can turn us loose with minimal direction, or you can hand us a shot list and stand next to us for every frame. Sometimes we do all the post, sometimes we hand over the files the minute we wrap.
We trim the fat making our production method lean and mean. Real, unscripted moments are dynamic and unstable, but with skill they can be anticipated and sometimes predicted. To capture these events, our style is fluid and efficient, often described as "run and gun".
DIRECTING & producing
From the smallest technical details to setting up each shot, everything we do is motivated by being producers and directors understanding that every element is building to an objective. We are passionate about telling stories the right way, and we can make it happen.
Stories are truly crafted in the edit, which makes the edit room one of our favorite places to create. Captured moments are unearthed, dusted off, and pieced together. Only with a strong framework, do we proceed to fill out a project with postproduction polish and finesse.
